Thought all of this came from some bored dudes that saw messaging app aggregators and thought “what if we could do that but with all social media” and in a month scrapped together 0.0.0.1 ActivityPub standard and managed to tech demo it to their friends
Being pro-Dessalines also underlines "tankie" mindset. Dessalines was an utter tyrant who declared himself emporer but his subjects weren't slaves and everyone opposing him wanted to re-enslave them. Sure Toussaint Louverture would've been ideal but Napoleon rejected him so he failed. Its all strictly "lesser of two evils" mindset.
