what makes this argument "bad faith?" it's saying this:

if you call yourself a socialist but don't support any socialist movement at all, you aren't a socialist.

if you support most of these people/countries, then great! but how is this bad faith, at all?

Yeah but also no. I agree with you. If you cant support any socialist movement then youre probably not a socialist. But what this meme is also implying is that you cant be critical of any of these nations if you want to also be a socialist.

But to also be fair, that might come more from my understand of the meme and not ops original intent. The way its worded is all westerners are like that, but i guess it doesnt really work in a meme format to start making exclusions.

Yeah, I can see where you're coming from. But the meme itself says "hate," not "I am critical of." Being critical of leftist movements are super important, and the meme is making fun of the stereotype of a western "leftist" whose only radical opinions are legalizing weed and getting free healthcare.

Yeah, I sorta realized that. I purged my comments because i realized they didnt contribute to anything other than making myself look dumb

it takes a lot of strength to admit you were wrong, glad we could have a productive conversation, comrade.
