I've been shown what should have been pleasant or even comrade-adjacent things on TikTok before by well-meaning friends and loved ones, butt the delivery style is aggressively obnoxious to me. There's other new stuff that I'm perfectly fine with so it's not just a "lol ur old" berdly-smug thing.

Even the videos I should have liked and agreed with felt like being visually slapped over and over again while snippets of no-context music were blasted in my ear for seconds at a time (even music I already liked would be punishingly jarring if I were to chop it up into seconds-long clips) before suddenly stopping again. It's not an experience I'd voluntarily continue for long.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that gets really sick of the music without context. People play short snippets of songs in their video not because they know the song. It’s so annoying to hear a part of a Shiloh Dynasty, ICP, or Marty Robbins sing and know the poster probably hasn’t even heard the whole song let alone heard the context behind it. It also leads to songs getting stuck in your head and the way overplaying of popular bits of songs. I really hate when songs are overplayed.
