    The commodification of modern militarism.

    Western nations will produce a bomb and have six countries bid over which one of them gets to drop it on Donetsk. Meanwhile, Russians will simply build a bomb and lob it into Kiev. Since westerners are required to play by the rules of Supply x Demand, we have this bizarre incentive to constrain the rate of production in order to maximize the price of each unit of sale.

    Crazier still, westerners will laud themselves for spending enormous sums on new equipment in a war that's been deadlocked for almost a full year. So all this money is being poured into... what exactly? A few headlines about the latest volley exchange?
