Lol, I was reading this and like 50 other webcomics daily on a single page compilation when it was coming out. Barely remember them. Now questioning my current daily webcomics.😅
lol, currently I read Questionable Content, Something Positive, Penny-Arcade, Sam and Fuzzy, SMBC, xkcd, and Oglaf. I still somewhat enjoy Questionable Content.
Like 15 years ago, I went through a culling and those are the ones I still read. Most of the ones you mention were on that compilation page. I read so many gamer webcomics back then even though I don't really game. I saw Loss the day was it released! lmao.
I still occasionally think of "Here comes a special boy." and "Everybody dance like there's an ass in your pants." though I barely remember what the achewood strip was about. lol.
Noted, on achewood. I'll keep that in mind, but I've got so much on my list who knows if I'll ever get to it.
Yeah, I think Penny Arcade mostly outgrew their 'edgy for the sake of being edgy' type stuff many years ago. I mostly read them out of nostalgia and to keep up with the latest stuff my gamer friends are talking about. They do still get a laugh out of me every once in a while with their takes.
the topato potato character that topatoco is named after is introduced like a month or less after this comic lol
