I feel like I sort of wind up doing this a lot because someone says "Do this thing" without realising how much effort, set up, and pack down "thing" is, and I don't want to bark up the wrong chain so I start this long laborious process, when what they really wanted me to do was do this thing in 1/20th the time and please be available for other tasks this week.
