The kit wasn’t as well designed as the other gunpla kits I’ve done so far but the build was straightforward and easy.
Also, just because I don’t think I’ve ever posted this here, this is a 30 Minute Sisters kit I finished a little while back:
Show
For this ”Ilshana” kit I painted the skull wands but everyone else is out of the box. The kits are good quality, relatively cheap (compared to similar stuff at least), and have interchangeable parts with other 30 Minute Sisters/30 Minute Missions kits.
i love the look of a lot of the WfM kits but i feel like i need to watch the show first lol, i'm still trying to get my friends to watch the OG gundam series (or at least Iron Blooded Orphans)
I liked the show overall but I do have some criticisms of it. I'd say it's worth watching though and isn't too long compared to a lot of Gundam series I think. I actually haven't seen Iron Blooded Orphans yet and I'm trying to decide between watching that and Turn A Gundam.
I liked IBO but there are some problematic elements that pop up, theres an idyllic Yakuza space-harem spaceship crew portrayed as cool and good for example, but theres also a lot of anti-capitalist or at least anti-imperialist, anti-MIC, and pro-union themes, and a pretty good gay romance between some of the important-but-not-the-protagonist-hero characters towards the end of the anime. I also like how the protagonist character is emotionally distant in a realistic way for a child soldier/mercenary, instead of an overly dramatic angsty teenager like in other gundam series i've seen (Gundam Wing for example), i relate hard as someone with PTSD that often makes me hyper-focus on the tasks in front of me to the exclusion of my and others emotional needs. and the character never really stops being detached like that, but develops in interesting ways anyway as he adapts to having somewhat more control over his circumstances as the series goes on, i'd almost say its good ND representation if not for the other problematic elements.
