Learn the ropes before they hire you at 14 for some closing shifts. That way they don't waste money on training you think-about-it

    You didn't even learn how to sell chicken tendies to meemaw while she tells you about god's plan for themsfolks? Just spending time in nature and making art?

        Exactly. Customer service is a skill they can use at Walmart, a call centre, or any of the fast food restaurants or small businesses around town. No matter where they go in life this child will be equipped to serve me some kind of treat at age 14. Even if I'm just calling them and screaming because Amazon can't properly deliver a package to my address- do they even teach kids to read anymore?- that child will know their place better than one who wasted time outdoors.
