The worst thing is that plenty of Scandinavian food is fantastic. Its just been memed by nationalists to be "pork meat" (so we can exclude Muslims) and by Americans to be "fish, bread and mayo lol" because they have no understanding of culinary culture that isn't slapping the same spice rub on every single dish and calling it a day. But then they do this shit and it's just the most WASP thing you can do. Crusade against flavor + "won't somebody please think of the children?"
What little Nordic food I've had has been pretty good so I have a decent opinion of it. On the other hand, I see Nordic people having consistently shit takes on food like "Korean fried chicken is too spicy, schnitzel is better" and I think that there's something deeply wrong with the people.
Are you thinking of that one Swedish guy picking fights with the entire world? I haven't really seen those takes otherwise, but I'm sure they're out there and they should be reeducated
We probably are, but he doesn't just have "one" take. He's going thru the entire international community regional cuisine by regional cuisine. Dissing tacos, ramen, paneer and a whole bunch more. It's honestly impressive how he manages to be so wrong about food so consistently.
