hahaha not going to bother with this movie anyway, but the idea of anyone caring enough to be mad about a phase 5 (or is it 6 idk) movie is funny

Was the new deadpool any good? My partner will probably want to see it lol

they had a trailer for the new captain america movie. Not even a hint of the captain zionism

I'm not surprised that they're obscuring Captain hamas-red-triangle in the promo materials. I think they already changed the title due to some other controversy, and I would not be shocked if it ends up getting reshoots to further obscure her before the movie actually releases.

I saw it too, got dragged there by a friend. I've been deep into X-Men since I was a kid, so maybe your experience will be different. There were clearly some writers involved who know X-Men lore and know what makes the fans squeal like piggies.

As a movie it's just very very silly. Like it's silly to the point I never felt much tension in the plot. Nothing seemed to matter and everything felt like a set-up to the next joke or reference. It's fun though and some of the fight scenes are cool, as far as marvel CGI fights go.

I've always had a personal dislike of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, not because of his acting or anything, but because Wolverine in the comics is 5'3" and Jackman is 6'2". Wolverine is usually the shortest character in any given scene and I always thought that was kinda cool. It shouldn't matter but it always bugged me. The movie actually acknowledges the height difference in a kinda funny way, so I'll give it points for that.

So you're saying they should have given him the Frodo Baggins treatment? Lol

That bit got a genuine laugh from me.

I thought it was good if you watch through the lense of it just being a super hero parody movie.

I'm a long time super hero movie hater. I went to the theater to watch the new Dead Pool movie with a friend. The premise of the new Dead Pool movie is similar to Ready Player One. Dead Pool gets kidnapped by Time Police and sent into a place called like "The Void", stylized like the Mad Max universe. Inside the void are all the characters of previous unsuccessful Super Hero franchises: Elektra, Fantastic Four, Blade, numerous Xmen movies, etc. The whole movie is just Dead Pool trying to escape The Void and discovering other shitty super heros in The Void. The similarity that I see with Ready Player One is the reliance on references to previous pop culture as the primary form of content. The movies lose the shape of an original work and become a regurgitation of pop culture references.
