hahaha not going to bother with this movie anyway, but the idea of anyone caring enough to be mad about a phase 5 (or is it 6 idk) movie is funny

I think it's just a natural consequence of story structure. They literally had a movie named "endgame" where they blew their story wad and it's just limping along now

I think they could have reset things to get to a satisfying buildup again, but that would have required turning off the money printer and letting it cool for a few years. Kinda like how how they put Star Wars movies on cooldown after the Han Solo movie bombed (I know there's TV shows but regular audiences don't care about those, eventually Filoni is gonna do a movie).

Isn't he doing the Mandalorian movie? I have no idea how it wouldn't be a direct to streaming thing, though. It's supposed to wrap up all those Filloni-verse shows, and that's a lot of TV homework for a Star Wars movie.

They tried to introduce a new Big Bad to shape their story arcs around, but then irl stuff happened.

The new Deadpool gave them an excuse to just recast whoever as whoever though. Disney has those actors for life now.
