This article made me so furious. Not only does Disney treat their employees like shit, but they’re actively censoring any kind of queer themes in their movies.

People forget that the majority owners of production/capital in American are out of touch, evil/angry, white men that do not do any form of introspection. Similar takes also occurred when shows like Teen Titans were attractive across more than just one gender but sadly that was bad because most cartoon production houses are owned by companies that think He-Man and the 1970s are still very much alive and kicking (i.e. we market to mono gendered audiences only no matter what the statistics and rating say).

Truly capitalism is the most rational system on this Earth! curious-marx

It's doubly insane after the smash hit that My Little Pony achieved with its crossover audience

The Teen Titans cancellation was before MLP:FiM, but word on the street is that it's still industry standard to shoot down ideas if they seem like they're not gendered enough because it allegedly makes it harder for the toy people to sell their merch.

Gotta love the inherent fascist nature of capitalism come out in ways like having fucking segregated toy brands for ease of marketing and capitalization.

Twenty bucks the execs willfully ignore that audience or else the audience is obfuscated to them via their accountants given what a cash cow it's been for Hasbro
