Recently we did a parent-teacher meet and greet type thing at the school. On each of their desks each kid drew their name and coloured it all nice and drew cute little pictures of things that they like and that they feel represents them.

I teared up a little bit when I saw my kid's name with a big Palestinian flag above it and two little watermelon slices

We take the kid to the weekend rallies every so often, and I guess it made a bigger impression on them than I thought.
