I don't really see how it's mask off for a neoliberal to want other countries to be liberal democracies.
It's like being surprised or it being a secret that communist want a communist revolution.

I was referencing the other posts I see there that are always trashing the global south and sometimes even saying they can't think for themselves and need to be "liberated".

But them taking the effort of still using dogwhistles tells me some of them actually believe their shit. Like some of them really think the US is a democracy, some of them really believe the US not only isn't the Big Satan but it's a "force of good" in the world.

Damn things so stupid it almost causes guilt to CentralPark them.

Anyways I wish them all CentralParked.

But they probably just keep repeating dogwhistles cuz that's what they need to do to get a chair somewhere.

From what I have seen the Chinese are relatively happy with their government. Some of the Chinese people I talked to were very aware of world politics and were definitely happy to be Chinese

If I lived in China the only issue I would have is the pollution. But at least their government is going in the right direction. I wouldn't be surprised if Beijing becomes another LA in terms of improvement in 20 years or so.

I was there during some of the months when the pollution isn't so bad. Actually now that i think of I it didn't notice it to be any different than an American city. I'm sure that varies by time of year and location tho

Yea that's the thing, China isn't the best on many fronts like healthcare or workers rights at the moment, but they are actually improving and show no signs of stopping, meanwhile basically every western country is in a slow but constant regression of previously held benefits and rights. Just as China will soon eclipse the US economically I'd also expect them to start looking more and more positive on citizens general well-being when compared with western countries.

There was some article going around recently that talked about how China has already surpassed Australia for workers rights.

Combined with the racial angle, there's a real eugenics vibe to it all. Feeling bad because people on the other side of the planet don't agree with your politics? It's so fucking creepy.

Rise of economic illiteracy. The guys who came up with "homo economicus" are worried about economic illiteracy.

It's such a superficial strawman. They complain about populism because the masses are dumb and need to be lead by meritocratic liberals and you see the fascists blame the Jews and the socialists blame the billionaires and these two things are the same. Except billionaires seem to be able to tell the difference. Succdems can tell the difference. If all populism is the same, why are there no unironic socialist billionaires? Only fascist ones.

Not vccx, but I guess because some people find it ableist due to its connection to the "autistic screeching" meme.

I think that was how it was originally used, but was later folded into the autistic screeching meme. I'm not too sure of this though, I'm just going on what I was told back when I used it.

Neolibs doing their damnedest to shut out the creeping realization that fascism is the mature form of capitalism
