I'm looking to hire an IT Technician for the Mono County Office of Education. The job is based in Mammoth Lakes, CA. See the EdJoin link for full details.

Pay is $55,950-$76,315 per year. Full time, year round position. Health/dental/vision coverage. CalPERS defined benefit pension plan.

The nice part about working in K12 is that you get every school holiday off. At MCOE, we also get two weeks off at Christmas, which is always nice.

Our IT schedule is flexible, so most work 4x10s (we rotate which day off each person takes, so we have coverage through the weekdays). I also allow one work from home day per week, so that cuts down on commute costs/time, since the position is only in-office three days a week (assuming you want to work 4x10 hours). But, it's flexible. Folks can work a standard 5-day week, 8-5 if they choose (still with one day work-from-home per week).

Anyway, IT jobs in the Eastern Sierra are rare, so if IT is your jam, you enjoy working with students and teachers, then this gig might be to your liking. It's hard to imagine a more scenic environment as well.
