SEOUL, Jan. 10 (Yonhap) -- North Korea has carried out a public execution of people for violating the country's COVID-19 regulations, a South Korean human rights white paper showed Wednesday.

A North Korean defector who arrived in South Korea last year testified about the public execution, according to the white paper published by the Korea Institute for National Unification, a state-run think tank.

Still, it did not elaborate on the details of the public execution, such as when and how it took place, due to concerns about possible reprisals against the North Korean defector's family members and relatives who remain in the North.

The "white paper" was published by Korea Institute for National Unification, a South Korean government-funded think tank.

They tied them up in the town square and had people with covid cough on them until they caught it, making them almost die from covid, then they umm...hold on, let me spin my wheel here...stuffed them full of grass until they exploded to death! What an evil country!

how convenient it is that their "witness" can't even elaborate on it because "fear of repercussions" lmao. they basically can make up any story, force someone to say it's true but don't elaborate more because "fear of repercussions".

North Korea has carried out a public execution of people for violating the country’s COVID-19 regulations, a South Korean human rights white paper showed Wednesday.

Based if true, but given it's a "defector" saying it...

Killing people for not exactly following quarantine measures would be a beyond stupid, horrific and draconian measure.

In no way would that ever be “based”.

That’s exactly why the think tank made it up. It’s horrifying and disgusting no matter how you spin it.
