I know there are products that could smooth it down and maybe keep them from getting fuzzy so quickly, but I also don't like putting gunk in my hair :angery:
Perhaps a high quality shampoo/conditioner would do the trick? I started buying some dead sea mud stuff a year or two ago and it works pretty well for my hair needs. Also smells nice.
Oh, interesting. What is your hair texture like, if you don't mind me asking? Mine is stick-straight and fine. So little straight bits just work their way out of my braid an poke out like I'm some kind of porcupine.
TBH I know so little about hair that it's really hard for me to answer that. I've been told its really soft? Other than that, it gets curly when it grows out, and shampoos tend to dry it out and make it look frizzy when its short, so maybe do the opposite of what I just said - try not using anything in it when you shower for a few days and see if that helps.
Even when I've been camping and haven't washed my hair for days, my braids still get fuzzy the same way, so I don't think that'll work for me. Thanks for trying though! I might just have to give in and try using some kind of product. I hate to do it though, because my hair is so straight and fine that stuff weighs it down and makes it look greasy really quickly. Maybe I'll only use it the day before I plan to wash it or something.
