      (also a Presbyterian minister and prison writing teacher and host of an RT show)

      edit: socialist too, and some people here call him lib for preaching nonviolence, but he has never endorsed a dem president so he's not "lib" in that more damaging way

        With regards to the accusations, afaik he doesn't necessarily advocate being a liberal-style Voooter -- I have definitely heard him remark in an interview that he believes people need to be out in the streets if anything is going to change.

        This piece from him was very formative for me, it is what made me realize I needed to understand politics as a force affecting my life during my "awakening." There are definitely a lot of collectivist and anti-capitalist sentiments in it. It's too bad was iced out of american media for vocalizing against the invasion of Iraq, but I guess it would have likely happened eventually anyway given his views.
