So at this point the question is not "did the Uvalde police kill children and/or teachers" but "how many children and/or teachers" right?

Earlier this week, Motherboard reported on a similar letter sent to Paxton by the Texas Department of Public Safety, which wanted to suppress body-camera footage because it could expose “weaknesses” in police response to crimes that criminals could exploit. (The main seeming weakness in the Uvalde response was that police, in violation of standard policy and protocol, refused to risk their lives to protect children.)

Goddamn, Vice is not pulling punches there.

Where the fuck is this trial even going to get a jury that doesn't know about the shooting?

At this point they should just spill the beans. Its overtly obvious that they fucked up big time and every step they take to cover it up only makes it more obvious that there's something big they're trying to hide.

Stalling is always a better tactic. There’s a much greater chance that either USians naturally care less, or that media can just matter of factly announce the verdict —it’s too fresh to be brushed aside now. But after the pig system takes months to carefully deliberate on a course of action?

It could backfire of course, but I think it’s probably the managerial choice every time
