When you decide if he gets your critical support, the transphobia accusation is 100% legit.
But the stuff I hear about him not being socialist, grifting, opportunism... the man has held the same positions on Western Imperialism and worker's rights consistently since the 70s. Demonstrably so. Loudly so.
Completely agree. Galloway is not perfect and there are some things he says on occasion that socialists could legitimately criticize him for, but on Palestine at least i fail to see how anyone can say he has been anything but a consistent and staunch supporter of Palestinian liberation for basically his entire career.
I have my issues with Galloway here and there, some are larger than others, but there is no doubt in my mind that he is on the right on the Palestine issue. Man has a track record there that is consistent for basically his entire career.
Most of the time I agree with him on geopolitics and not remotely on social issues, but critical support where it is due.

Galloway is awesome. Aside from him having too much respect for the Royal Family, I have no issues with him.
His proffered respect for the Royal Family has dropped dramatically with the death of Elizabeth. In the first show back after being sworn into parliament he was openly decrying the fact that he has to swear loyalty to Charles to be able to keep his seat. He'd never have been so vociferous with his crticism about that with ER2. I guess being born right after the Attlee government, the Queen was associated with a childhood in the kind of Britain he's been fighting to get back ever since. And then there's also the realpolitik of Elizabeth having been quite popular, and extremely popular relative to Charles and his Duchy Orignals™ drama farming progeny.
