    It needs more than that. The NHS has always been a bottomless pit in terms of what it could spend. If we don't as a country invest more in preventive and early interventions it's going to be overwhelmed by an increasingly chronically ill population. We will never be able to throw enough money at the NHS then, especially if an ever larger portion of the population isn't contributing to the economy to fund that.

    Liquidate the City of London kulaks, that'll free up enough resources for NHS and every bit of welfare spending UK needs.

    The only reason NHS needs so much money is because of decades of austerity. Never blame "lazy workers" or whatever; Money isnt real, spend whatever is needed to ensure doctors are trained, paid well and Healthcare infrastructure is improved.

    Of course that won't happen either under the Tories or the Labour in its current state.
