I NEED THEM AND I NEED 3 TRAVEL LANES TOO
I NEED CROSSWALKS THAT ARE 212 FEET LONG
There's an intersection just like this on my commute to work. A few years back they were doing construction on that general road area, and for a little while the intersection was changed to a four-way stop :what-the-hell:
Not because the traffic lights weren't working, they were! It was flashing-red four ways for several days. Driving through it the first and ONLY time was genuinely a top 5 most terrifying moment of my life. No one had any clue when to go across, because how could you when there's 12 fucking people on each side and a quarter-mile line in every direction? Nobody teaches you how to deal with that in driver's ed when you're 15 years old!
After that I just got up earlier and took the long way around it. American urban planning is an actively malicious joke.
cops could have been useful for literally the first time in their lives but nope what is "directing traffic" sounds like some kinda nerd job
these have to have unbelievable rates of fender benders. imagine asking americans to be good enough drivers to take that turn in the middle lane with cars on either side of you
that's why these have lane markings all the way across. There's a six-way intersection near me that has one left turn lane leading to a two lane street. Except there are no guidelines in the intersection and it has a left turn bike lane just to the right of the one for cars. Presumably this is for grinding bikers into paste when drivers make wide lefts into the right lane.
That's what the lines in the intersection are for (they only kinda work)
Love the sidewalks going around existing utility easements. That shit gives me life. Just building a zig zagging wobbly sidewalk to respect AT&T's decades old permits.
Just imagine what the founding fathers would say if you told them it was illegal to walk on the road
"are you americans of the 21st century leſs enfranchized than horſes and live-stock?"
takeshi's castle but instead of foam every obstacle is 2 tons of steel
Makes sense that it’s in FL. Checkout that intersection I mentioned. It’s just as insane. At one point it was the most dangerous intersection in the US because of how big it was.
Help! My neighborhood has no affordable housing!
Well, lets see your real estate budget.
$400 for ranch style housing
$800 for Big Box retailers with enough parking spaces to max out capacity during holiday season
$10M for stroads
$10 for apartments
