Synthesis: bringing to birth a new world from the ashes of the old
No that's pushing the dial so far to the right it breaks off but it turns out you had perfect rhythm the whole time anyways.
Haha me too :yea: I can be the the most hopeful motherfucker or the most hopeless. Pick a day (or an hour lol)
Most of the time I’m bloomer, but capitalism really throws a mean curve ball
I believe a better world is possible.
The looming shadow of nuclear war however scares me more than anything and I am quite frankly willing to accept literally anything other than nuclear war, including prolonged fascism, we will rise again but humanity won't if nukes go off. It is the one thing that truly must not happen.
I think - or maybe just hope - that those in charge still understand what mutually assured destruction is. What's the point of nuking Russia if your entire country will be a burning pile of ash as a result?
Or from a more ideological standpoint: the point of the bourgeois state is to protect capital. NYC getting nuked is the opposite of protecting capital.
I think even a limited nuclear response from Russia would send them scurrying back. On the other hand half the US military complex are apocalyptic evangelicals that want nuclear war to happen, another third are Scientologists, and the remainder moderates keeping them in check are radical splinters of the Latter Day Saints.
Capital is unfettered by land. They've built bunkers with servers in them and can institute trades using satellite uplink.
They think they can roast the earth and trade in peace underground.
There's no such thing as prolonged fascism, of course. Even the "Moderate" forms can barely tick along for 20 years before they fall apart and it took every trick in the CIA book to stop Portugal et al from going Communist.
it took every trick in the CIA book to stop Portugal et al from going Communist
They even had a plan to stoke Azorean independence.
Apparently the group they were working with (far-right of course) was ready to do it in a couple days. But I guess they realized it would be too obvious that it was American backed and would strain relations with Europe.
Syntheses: a better world is theoretically possible, but really we're fucked.
Will you struggle for what you know could be, fighting, striving, at the last barricade - or will you die like a dog?
A better world is possible someday, but we're fucked for the foreseeable future
A better world is theoretically possible. But I think at this point everybody knows that realistically, we lost and the bourgeoisie have won, so we're fucked. Both are true
Death to America
