Yeah, that's why I posted it here. I know that a lot of users here are in no position to contribute, so I certainly don't want to put any pressure on anyone who can't manage. But there are others who are more financially secure and I'm hoping some people can send them some support. I genuinely believe that they do good and important work.

I’m curious about their payroll and operating expenses. They have 4,000 patrons on Patreon with a $5 minimum sub, but there are like 4-5 people involved in creating their episodes.

I'm planning on watching it.

They called it a begathon in the episodes when they said it was coming up. I guess the word stuck in my head, because you're right, it isn't actually named that now. Starting to doubt myself . . . OK, yes, they called it "The Citations Needed Begathon" in their episode on the Young Turks. So I didn't make that up, but they seem to have changed their minds about actually calling it that.
