I feel like being honest about your past thoughts and deficiencies is better than acting like an MSNBC reporter claiming that they’ve never done anything wrong ever in their lives.
It’s a step in the right direction for sure, no one is perfect. Most of us were probably raised by someone with bigoted views and likely held similar beliefs until having our own life experiences.
