As part of an international coalition of activists, doctors and others, three ships are set to sail for Gaza from Türkiye, determined to reach the besieged Strip despite the zionist entity’s threats.

The flotilla is reminiscent of 2010’s Mavi Marmara Freedom Flotilla, where a ship from Türkiye with the same goals tried to reach Gaza, resulting in the martyrdom of 10 activists after […] Occupation Forces raided the ship.

This time, the activists say they are more prepared. Two ships will carry activists, and a third will carry over 5,000 tons of aid. A fourth ship will join from Italy. The ships have been redesigned, with halls named after activists and the restaurant renamed “libertas.”

“There is no way that we can’t sail. There is no way that we can’t reach Gaza,” said one activist.

There is a possibility that the IOF will attack the ships, but the activists hold that the people of Palestine are in danger, too, and it is worth the risk.

Which ship will carry weapons to defend them? Israel will surely attack.

Yeah, seriously...when they said they were more prepared I figured they would at least be armed for self defense?

This was literally cancelled earlier today because :guinea-bissau-cool: didn't want their registered ships to sail due to Shitrael's pressure

Probably for the best. They weren't going to arm themselves. They weren't going to expose some new horror to the world that isnt'real is guilty of, they weren't going to prove anything to anyone that we didn't know for a fact already.

The zionists would have boarded them, executed some people, seized the ships and prevented their landing. If they're going to seriously try and breach defenses to get aid to Gaza as more than a stunt they'd need to take lessons from drone warfare, not 3 ships but hundreds or thousands of small ones making the difficulty in intercepting them quite high, though at that point they might just start lighting them all up and blowing them out of the water. None of this though is going to change the US support for the zionist occupation and colony. Looking at the board, outside of Gaza there are only two groups having a material impact and even that isn't enough because neither is strong enough to inflict enough pain and those are of course Ansar Allah of Yemen who are doing their legal duty under international law to attempt to prevent genocide by intercepting shipping and driving up costs for allies of the genocidal regime and Hezbollah who are tying up some zionist forces in the north and launching counter-attacks on the Isntreali Occupation Forces.

That and Mandla, who was going to be on board the Flotilla, is most definitely marked for death by the Isnotreali military. If captured, he was never going to see South Africa or his family ever again. Nor would he be seen by his family, the government or the South African people.

It would also make South Africa an official party to the conflict and cause an upsurge of tensions with the cracker-sphere.
