    Seriously militant activism such as encampments at Canadian campuses hasn’t been done since the attempts to issue a citizens’ arrest against Benjamin Netanyahu in 2001, led by Laith Marouf (9:22-17:22).

    This person never heard of the 2012 Quebec student strikes or has some wacky idea about the word "militant".

    Grassroots democratic federated assemblies (CLASSE) who developed and participated in escalating and protracted strikes comprising the vast majority of their constituency. All kinds of action were undertaken including shut down of roads and the port of Montreal.
