Holy shit. This thing is built like an R/C car. No, really.

But only like a shitty offbrand [R/C car]. A decent one is much sturdier than this
Cybertruck appears to be metal panels hiding plastic structure because they were already overweight, the stainless panels were to blame, and they were the one thing Elmo didn't want to compromise on.
Did Tesla secretly cooperate with Boeing on this puppy?

15th time visiting Tesla's service center because my Cyb3rTruck stopped working in the past two months. Love the place! Great water cooler. Coffee is a little burnt but that's how I like it anyway! Still love the truck though!
Another thing Cyberpunk 2077 got wrong is most of the cars are both reliable and practical.

Long ass link to source video; tldr: yeah. They use structural adhesives and "some welding"
Edit: 45 minute mark they start talking about adhesives
Yeah apparently it's not even an exoskeleton, they changed it to a unibody.

LMAO. No frame because it's useless steel side panels are already too heavy for an electric vehicle. Can't spend that weight quota on something that might protect the occupants and/or the vehicle from being totaled! What are we, cavemen?!
Next model should remove the undercarriage so the driver and the occupants can just use their feet ala Flintstones car.
M'lord, my steed hath shed its barding and thereupon a common goose reveal'd!
It this legit and not an AI image?
If so it's not even a metal car, it's a plastic car with cladding.- Show
I found this image from Tesla that appears to have the same structure visible
3d printing a cybertruck out of polymer and wrapping it in aluminum foil would unironically be more durable

Not beating the Reddit-mobile 🚗 allegations
In other news, my conspiracy is that cybertruck owners have to mitigate the nature of the problems with the vehicle within their twitter posts or say they "still love the car though" in order to avoid ban hammer
That is a fact not a conspiracy, hence all of the grateful serfs and their cyberwagons
Fun note is that I saw another today and was like oh right there’s a reason we don’t make perfectly flat panels… it’s EXTREMELY obvious when they’re not exactly perfect because the reflections show off every deformation. Of which there’s a LOT of. And like… why a like brushed stainless steel deformed panel. Dear god every time I see one I laugh.
People who bought Teslas should be fired and barred from any position with sensitive information because it’s clear they’re extremely gullible and untrustworthy
truck is supposed to be a sturdy workhorse vehicle. Meanwhile this thing falls apart if you look at it the wrong way
Oh, god - imagine a Tesla plane or helicopter. What a nightmare!
"Control tower... Um... Our landing gear fell off."
"I'll alert the emergency crews to—"
"I have to interrupt. Numerous serious problems have happened in just the past few minutes. They must be interconnected somehow. One, the landing gear fell off. Two, we are losing fuel. Three, we are having electronics failures. Four..."
anyone got a non-sign in requiring version of that link? I wish to gaze upon the horrors of whatever it holds

God fucking damn can Bluesky posters be annoying. The poster didn't post something original or unique. He's just a rando and that copy-and-pasted from another site like we all do.
Eww wow that website is horrid where am I right now
People use this on purpose?
horrid
What problems are you having? I'm in the US. The worst that happens to me is that pages can be very slooooow to load. But only that.
I hate the modern day internet: the walled gardens, the fountain of AI shit, etc. One reason I joined Bluesky is that I like linking to a page that has comments that doesn't require a sign-in. But then I learn that some (many?) posters think of themselves so highly - they make their posts impossible to read without a sign-in. After that I find a workaround but that doesn't work either?
The site also makes copy-and-pasting a gigantic headache because they disabled highlighting.
There are browser extensions and userscripts to stop that from happening.
I always use one because Japanese media companies are absolute freaks when it comes to copyrights so any website that has Japanese lyrics or quotes from books uses that garbage.
I'll have to google. So fucking annoying.
Rant: I don't think it's js and
I'm pretty good at CSS but...and I used to be pretty good at CSS. The site defeated me. I think it's CSS. There's a gigantic amount of recent CSS stuff I don't know about because I hate it and I certainly don't want to spend hours and hour learning how it how to nullify it. Anyway - an extension or js will do. I'm an old guy yelling at a cloud. Googling is not a hardship.
I posted this - https://hexbear.net/post/2530481?scrollToComments=false - before I saw your comment.
