All they did was own a few slaves, and they treated them like family, so really, did they even count as slaves?

      I literally had a coworker from Poland who went "soviets were so evil, if Hitler won the war, polish ppl would be better off". He would not listen to me saying that if hitler won then polish people would simply not be, at all.

      Although it probably didn't help that I opened with "look, you don't need to like Stalin to understand..."

      The Soviets put up monuments of Lenin everywhere, but we tore those down after we were liberated. We replaced them with statues of Voldemort and our greatest national hero, Vyatcheslav the Jewslayer.
