If it has heavy armor, tracks, and a big gun fixed to the hull it's a tank destroyer, assault gun, or sometimes an SPG
If it has light armor, tracks, and a couple of autocannons and some missiles and a radar it's a SPAAG - Self propelled anti-aircraft gun
If it's designed before the 1920s then it doesn't even need a turret.
