Netanyahu only echoes a Crusader Pope who preceded him by nearly one millennium:

Urban tells the crusaders: ‘Moreover, you who are to go shall have us praying for you; let us have you fighting for God’s people. It is our duty to pray, yours to fight against the Amalekites. With Moses, we shall extend unwearied hands in prayer to Heaven, while you go forth and brandish the sword, like dauntless warriors, against Amalek.’

A couple of centuries later, a European poet made an explicitly Christian but similar equivalence:

None will forsake the opportunity to kill Saracens for “all the gold in” various locales or for all the revenue of various French regions, so Ademar himself brings it onto the battlefield (laisses 307–14). In the climactic battle scene, the sultan’s own son and heir appears with “thirty thousand Turks descended from Judas,” the Jew who betrayed Jesus for thirty coins (laisse 347).

Apparently, the Zionists have learnt nothing from their Crusader predecessors.
