I love that stanky bass
Ristar is such an underrated gem
(The game is Ristar the Shooting Star for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive)
Was too busy playing Earthworm Jim. Who knew years later a worm would be piloting me.
Also Boogerman.
It was a good game, but being released in 1995 when the next generation was already in stores didn't help it. Same with Vectorman, although that's somehow better remembered.
Ristar was developed from an abandoned concept for what became Sonic, a bunny that could grab things with its ears.
I guess I was lucky (unlucky?) that my family was poor so I was stuck with a Sega waaaaay past it's hayday lmao
sorry not sorry born after the millenium my childhood is minecraft and a modded psp lol
Yeah, a lot of these games I never actually got to finish when I was a tiny child because Sega was really bad with the whole "let's make the difficulty spike up so people can't finish it during one rental" thing.
A lot of these games are waaay more fun to play now because of save states and rewinding.
Hell yeah! I had Ristar on my Game Gear, it was so fucking difficult. I don't think I ever beat it
