:yes-hahaha-yes-l:
:sicko-hexbear:
Otherwise gee fucking idiots I guess you realy needed a whole research department to figure things out like
•Alt-Right supergroup activity remains near its all-time high. This activity has been high since the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago in August (Fig. 1).
•The forums with the greatest use of Violent/Aggressive discourse in November were in Health Misinformation, scoring higher than Incels/Femcels and the Extreme Right (Fig. 7).
•Reference to sex crimes was up 13% in December and was up 32% since August (Fig. 11).
:the-democrat: reading this : "Great, its all according to the plan. Carry on mrMcdoofus, keep us informed, this is very useful information, it will come in handy when we decide to do absolutely nothing for the next 2 years."
I'd like to say something to the Richard Rogers's vastly underpaid grad student who is reading this thread. I have a request. I hope you get a raise. I really do. Do you guys have a union? I bet that you don't. You might want to look into forming one. I hope that doesn't count as "extreme left" messaging and "hate speech".
Best wishes.
I wonder how many professors and how many government orgs have already tagged as “extreme left” and a hate site. What a world.
I wonder how much of our so called violence is actually the news stories of right-wing violence that we post here
that, and saying that we don't like people who want to kill us
The amount of history that can be collected from Hexbear right now is minimal (Fig. 7).
Hexbear minimal retention policy stay winning
I like to think there's a subfolder somewhere that's entirely on @Dirt_Owl content
Thinking about some poor fed having to waste his time reading the utter bullshit I post warms my heart.
Adding a new category for posts about piss in my very serious research paper
lmao we really are named, you got to be kidding me, fuckin feds getting pressed over 800 power posters, eat my doo doo

Extremism is when you want socialism and understand that the bourgeoisie will try to kill us all to stop it from happening.
Honestly the low level of it in the "extreme left" that they're tracking seems to be an artifact of having no fucking idea what to track and define as "extreme left". We are essentially the same as a lot of people that you'll find in dozens of other communities that they probably glossed over because they look like pretty average socialist spaces.
Like, the average socialist I meet at a protest has exactly the same fucking views as me. They're not here. But they'd be saying the same shit if they were.
You should include all the soft-left that you've glazed over but interpolate the data in such a way that it assumes the platform they're on isn't liberal. The only reason the rhetoric out there isn't just an endless quantity of calls for maoing all landlords and guillotine guillotine guillotine is that everyone knows damn fucking well the left gets banned on every liberal platform for that.
In short, your research only indicates the lack of socialist-run platforms rather than the lack of desire for revolution. Like, did you even include the word revolution in your assessment of leftists? You know what a revolution looks like right?
In other news, this guy's parents named him Dick Roger lmao
I think its a bit interesting how the Ukraine war basically did not move the needle at all, despite the extremely edgy :reddit-logo: posts saying all the nasty shit against Russians, either they are not counting racism or xenophobia(very likely selective bias here) or as expected the "extreme" devotion to defending Ukraine is just reddit shit that barely registers anywhere else.
They have one graph that corroborates every other finding e.g Google trends. The Ukraine war completely dropped off the radar. It is still relevant but just part of "contemporary" discourse lol.
Good point, where's the extreme liberalism calling for the murder of the homeless? Execution of all the orcs? Etc etc etc. Doesn't exist because it's not a measure of extreme rhetoric but "anyone saying mean things that want to change the status quo or do anti-imperialism".
You're a hack Dick Rogers.
The best part about it is that the peer reviewers also won't know what any of this stuff is despite being 'experts' and thus will let it slide out the rectum of article writing.
I know I shouldn't really talk about this but I almost got kicked off my school's undergrad peer review council for rejecting too many papers because I had the audacity to actually check and read their source material which, hey surprise, more often than not didn't say what they said it said, or even contradicted what they said. I think one of the last straws when they told me to knock it off was when I had remembered reading an article that was basically the same research project, published a month before the paper was written, but was uncited by the paper as a contradictory study, despite complete relevance.
They were like 'they don't have to have every journal article possible in there' and I was like 'come on they didn't even bother to check for recent background studies, who knows what other older ones they missed, they probably didn't even consult a librarian.' After that I just decided, fuck it, if they don't care, I won't care either.
I think it does show how censored leftists are on mainstream websites where anything even remotely violent gets removed while right wingers can call for homeless getting hanged and it gets a pass. But it's presenting it backwards: Hexbear is "violent" because Hexbear's the only site where leftists are allowed to advocate self-defense and action against oppressors.
I'm betting that if the US government starts a new war, any advocacy for the war (from the government, the media or normal internet users) wouldn't register at all, since they don't define it as "extremism" or a "call to violence". Just like the only "fake news" regarding 9/11 is people saying that GW Bush did it. Because the US government, NYT, WaPo, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and all other media just lying that Iraq was involved isn't defined as "fake news" to begin with.
I know they've been setting up China, but that's too big of an engagement so I really think they're gunna' start sanctioning and starting shit up with Mexico soon. Unless they push out AMLO, they really want those Mexican resources and hate having some who speaks a language in common with a lot of Americans able to push back against their propaganda.
I dont think they'd start a war with someone on our actual border, its a place too many americans are familiar with, you know? They vacation there, they want to be in cancun, it doesnt work like Iraq too many people have actually seen it.
The sharp rise in Violent/Aggressive Discourse in the Extreme Left is an artifact of the inclusion of Hexbear.net. The amount of history that can be collected from Hexbear right now is minimal.
Remember guys. If you just police thought, and tell people they aren't starving or dying, they won't become radicalized. :so-true:
The fucking stupidity of shit like this. Both right and left radicalization is a result of failing material conditions, not "think groups" like liberals love to believe. If you want the "extremes" to go away, start providing a quality life to people without having to take it from someone else. But naturally that would require people like the ones that did this study to understand the system. It would also require these people to realize they are part of the problem.
The amount of history that can be collected from Hexbear right now is minimal.
Lmao the post archive we have to save space on our communism potato server fucked their data collection :tito-laugh:
Another important thing to note is that they will not crackdown on "internet spaces" until a left-wing one becomes a "problem". Right-wing spaces will be monitored, but be allowed to fully exist forever until they are a source of direct threat to capital. Leftist spaces threaten capital by nature.
Case in point: when :reddit-logo: decided to ban the chapo sub because it was becoming popular. They had allowed The_Donald to exist all that time and used that as the excuse for banning "extreme forums" when really it was just an excuse to get rid of the leftist subreddit. They even went on a purge of the smaller offshoots that popped up after.
Banned for, literally, posting "Death to slave owners" over and over again when they told us to stop.
Also worth noting that since the invasion of Ukraine the rule has been rescinded and Reddit now lists the ban of CTH as "violating Reddit’s rule against promoting hate"
r/The_Donald had already migrated to their own website at that point. They waited for them to leave then used tearing town their "we have moved" sign as evidence of their impartiality while banning r/cth at it's peak
Lmao, did we raise that one "violence/aggression" graph from 23% to 27%?
Thank you for your service comrades :fidel-cool:
Calling this an extreme leftist website when it's clearly full of libs smdh
Extreme Right includes antisemitic and Christian Identity forums, neo-Nazis, Proud Boys, secessionists, and White pride groups.
Extreme Left includes anarchist and socialist forums.
Wow, these two things are so equal.
Honestly surprised anyone tried laundering "extreme left" data with this site lol. Figured it would be eco-fascist groups or something, whose forums get like 1 post every quarter.
Most peoples' conservative aunt/uncle's Facebook post comments are more violent than this place.
Really it's a little disheartening. Our little 10k member (most of them probably not active posters) shitposting site is significant enough to constitute a significant fraction of the "extreme left"? jfc I hope he's just bad at google searching.
Take heart in the fact that were a niche social site and not the actual movement
From another one of this guy's presentations, this time about perceptions of policing:
https://i.imgur.com/GTD97F2.png
"Anti-fascism is an extreme-left position" is really telling on yourself.
You just know that they threw in the extremism definition at the top so they can pretend they're being objective, while hiding bias inside loaded terminology. Why use terms like heterodox when they can use eXtReMiSt instead?
By his definition the "barefoot is legal" movement is extremist on the level on the KKK and Neo-Nazis.
Maoing landlords is self-defence. Smh that liberals don't understand the difference between the violence of the oppressed and that of the oppressor :che-smile:
Research these nuts lmao got them (please research them I want to make eggs instead of sperm)
(Gilbert Gottfried voice) "anarcho-neoliberals soyface at 40,000 tobacco addicted black wage slaves dying from cancer a year, but if I joke about curb stomping a single white PMC redditor holocaust technician, that's 'FASCIST'!"
YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WE ARE FUCKING FAMOUS LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOO
Yet fig. 1 on the extreme left is like a flat line barely above zero compared to the other groups. Hardly a blip. We must :fedposting: harder.
You know I was visiting my parents HOUSE the other day. My father was coming back from a TRIP to WHITE castle. Let me tell you those HEAVILY loaded sliders were the BOMB.
We were thinking for my cousin's birthday, which happens to share the same as KARL MARX, to maybe TAKE OVER the joint like some kind of REVOLUTION and ARM everyone with enough sliders to take back to SCHOOL. They could demonstrate how it would look like if everyone had FREE LUNCH.
:im-doing-my-part: .
I might call for violence because some 3rd party didn't correctly conclude that this site is not extreme-left, but just a bunch of libs.
That is correct. When the chapo subreddit and others were hot shit they had better stances than here. However I feel that the baseline understanding of this site is quite nice.
That's because we only advocate for self defense. Chuds want to proactively murder some groups defined by arbitrary criteria. We never gonna beat them in this arena
i mean it's also because this place is pretty tiny. like it's a subset of an already relatively small subreddit
