These people will use the word communist to describe anything they don't like, but they're scared to use it when it accurately describes a political ideology.

No sweaty, being left means that you want capitalism with a strong social safety net, like giving the deserving poor means-tested tax credits for gruel.

It's like when libs are too milquetoast to even attribute some problem to capitalism so they have to resort to constantly criticizing "consumerism". They'll use it synonymously seemingly without realizing that the problem of consumerism is merely one part of capitalism, not the root of the problem

It's pretty hard to evaluate the world with honesty through a climate lens, and not come out as a devout anti-capitalist

I am always wary of hope but it does warm my heart to see stuff like this, good on you Greta.

    Good for her.

I don't think I can ever forgive the old /cth sub for constantly shitting on a teenager for basically "not being based enough". I'm glad she got there

Then start by coming back to your own country and fight NATO and the Scanian occupation government.

In her defense, she's done something:

The swedish right is overwhelmingly popular (and recruits from) the areas of Scania supposedly. The fact that Scania is also the area most similar to Denmark and in fact used to be a part of Denmark is often touted by swedish liberals / socdems who think that the right is icky for culture war reasons.

Denmark should apologize for allowing it's brainworms to spread like that.

Tbf i think that the explanation is mostly bullshit, and the problems of Scania being reactionary has way more to do with the limited amount of industry and heavy dominance of agriculture and the fact that the areas has been fought over so many times.

Danes are like the right wing uncle of Scandinavia. Finland also has it to a lesser extent, but their racism is more targetted towards their neighbours in Russia, while Denmark just hates anyone with non-porcelain skin who dares set foot in their country.

I vaguely remember a few years ago a moose swam to Denmark from Sweden and they mobilized the military and started building coastal defenses.

As long as the fightback is brought to the right, then that's a completely valid reason. Scania was also the single handedly most Nazi friendly part of Sweden during WW2 and our prime minister (who ZOMG! Appeased Nazis!) Was also Scanian.
