    I mean it sounds like they might try for one but labor is too poorly organized and coopted by the governed for it to actually work.

    Anyone saying, "we need to push for a general strike!" in the United States is being an idealist. We need to build socialist parties and increase union density, particularly for radical unions.

      I think that increasing union density is the key part. Unions are a place where people get to know each other, and learn to take coordinated political action that translates into stuff like worker parties.

    To be honest, I’m skeptical. While the UAW has gotten better, and Shawn Fain was an improvement, the org is still not great. There’s a lot of functionaries still lurking around, doing business union things.
