Acting Housing Minister Tom Koutsantonis apologised to Ms Fattel, saying the advice she received from the public servant was "appalling".

Mr Koutsantonis said he would "personally case manage" Ms Fattel but could not promise it would result in her finding a home.

If even the goddamn housing minister themselves personally managing your case can't make sure you find a home, then what the fuck kind of hope is there for anyone else? What an indictment of inhuman Aussstralian "society". aus-delenda-est

Being fair it does sound more like she was sent shitty therapy speak guides to coping rather than like, recipes for making a house potion.

    Not any better of course.

You don't make a house potion, silly. You move in to a giant discarded boot in the woods!

Sounds like the kind of thing you might end up saying after being burned out by being faced with desperate people asking for your help day after day and not being provided with anything to give them.

The public servant is an insensitive asshole but the villains here are the rulers who have made a dysfunctional and cruel housing system as a policy choice.

I was on a train once when a man came into the car with gigantic open sores on his swollen legs. He told everyone his shelter had a two-week maximum and so now he had nowhere to stay and couldn't even afford gauze for his sores. A guy at the end of the car asked him - "Hey, have you tried CBD?"
