It's crazy what the 5 year cost of ownership is when you factor in depreciation, average maintenance/repair, gas, and insurance.
It isn't getting better if you need a car to reach a possible workplace which is 50km away, but you also have to pay for a driver license, which is also very expensive

This is how propaganda works, they bill taking away your freedom as itself being freedom.
Same as with many other things like billing a fundamental rejection of your country's founding principles as 'Patriotism'.
