    It's crazy what the 5 year cost of ownership is when you factor in depreciation, average maintenance/repair, gas, and insurance.

    It isn't getting better if you need a car to reach a possible workplace which is 50km away, but you also have to pay for a driver license, which is also very expensive

    I often like to brag that I have a chauffeur who drives me around in a 16-wheel Mercedes with over 400 HPs after taking the bus

    This is how propaganda works, they bill taking away your freedom as itself being freedom.

    Same as with many other things like billing a fundamental rejection of your country's founding principles as 'Patriotism'.
