It's one of the most creative alien worlds I've seen. I found the world building in particular was phenomenal. The world feels like it has a logic of its own. It's not just random creatures looking weird for the sake of it, but it feels like there's a web of life that's interconnected. The characters are fantastic as well, you really end up caring about them. I really hope this gets picked up for another season, it's easily one of my all time favorite shows.

I got a real Fantastic Planet vibe off of it, very hopeful that Netflix does the right thing and renews it.

Yeah very similar vibes in both. I recall reading an old Soviet sci-fi book with similar themes as a kid, but can't remember the name of it for the life of me. The premise was that there's a human village on an alien planet, and it follows second generation who were born on the planet and treat it like home. It also had a similar kind of world building where the place really did feel very alien, but at the same time it was normal for the characters because it's the only world they know. Another book with similar themes I read recently was Dark Eden.
