Supporters of Rittenhouse like to point to the backgrounds of the men that Rittenhouse killed, particularly the sex crimes that Joseph Rosenbaum was convicted of in 2002, while his detractors argue that Rittenhouse was unlikely to know anything about that when he killed those men.

I'm sure the author would argue unsuccessfully that including this bit was totally necessary to inform the reader, but I would argue that including it totally informed me as to which way the author slants on Rittenhouse.
