Beep beep boop? Music goes boop boop beep
SOMETHING AIN'T RIGHT HERE
Bad music now “ you a stupid hoe, you a stupid hoe, you a stupid hoe”
Good music then “I can’t wait I can’t wait to sleep with this 16 year ooooold”
There should only be 3 songs.
The Fraggle Rock theme song, the Cowboy Bebop theme song and the Benny Hill theme song.
There hasn't been any good music made since the 70s! Where are all the new jailbait anthems?
I love EDM, but there's a subset/trope of it that annoys the shit out of me. It's songs that rhythmically mute or go quiet along with the beat. It grates on my brain and makes me think there's something wrong with my speakers/headphones.
I can't find an immediate example, but it's usually in YouTuber channel intros or stock/royalty-free EDM songs.
EDIT: Wait this is c/badposting lmao.
Sidechain compression, aka ducking. Basically, a compressor is set up to increase compression levels (squashes the volume down while also making it more consistent) on everything but the kick drum when the kick drum is sounding. It’s actually used subtly in a lot of genres to give some energy to the kick and duck the low frequencies in other tracks so that the low end in the mix doesn’t get muddled by the kick. A lot of EDM producers/artists do take it to comical extremes.

The mainstream does; the radio etc. has become almost completely useless for finding new music by the year.... 2007?
Underground and semi-obscure music scenes do tend to consistently bring out good music albums if the genre's foundation is not rotten by itself (you are not going to see good disco polo and most likely no good Imagine Dragons copycats)
One tip - listen to albums. Old bands you like, new upcoming artists' obscure releases, a band that only made this and then dissolved? It's a great way to discover more music.
I was gonna post my favorite of this year, but have embarrassingly realized that except for some industrial albums, those have mostly been albums widely praised by the annoying crowd of american music nerds like rateyourmusic or Fantano listeners
I've never met a person under 40 that seems to like Imagine Dragons, but there must be a fandom. They must be like Nickelback for Zoomers and Millenials or somethin

they are. Though the peak of their popularity was probably around 2017.
I just know em as the Arcane Theme Song guys, and I like that song well enough
Seriously, I'm not trying to listen to FRANK SINATRA right now! He's all the rage, but he's not even good
"Fly me to the moon" how about you fly me away from your horrible music?
Music goes hyamanah hyamanah sexeh behbeee tish tish tish or it ain't music imho
