I hope I'm doing this right.
Real feelings
Cosmos is mid at best since they did a Holodomor episode.
Regular reminder that NDT was credibly accused of sexual harassment
We talking original or remake with Neil de cringe Tyson?
I'm a fan of Sagan's original. I used a photo of NDT because it was the only way to make this bit work.
The new series is generally good slop (especially stoned) and I'm grateful to Seth MacFarlane (cringe as he may be) for using his disposable income to bring it into existence, but the episodes are mixed and it doesn't quite measure up.
I recall some episodes being pretty great. I really liked the one about lead contamination and mass spectrometry (I'm biased as a former analytical chemist). Others, like the one on Stalin, Lysenkoism, and the Holodomor were cringe (I think it was episode four, "Vavilov", of the second "season"). Many are overall good but tainted with the New Atheism cringe elements of Seth and NDT's personas. I don't think I've seen all the episodes.
Noice bit
This the original have a holodomor episode? It's been ages.
The one with Sagan is free of Holodomor propaganda (and anything related).
Perhaps. I find it hard to dislike astronomy edutainment though, because I wish there were more of it in general.
Tired - NDT hosting Cosmos
Wired - NDT hosting Combos where he reviews different fast food combo meals

I listened to this whole thing on a recent car trip and it was awesome.
There's another episode that's a couple hours long but I haven't listened to all of it yet.
