I feel like this was coming with the media angles taken past while. Hate this country so much
“So I’m here today to announce that I am applying a solution to promote conditions favorable to the settlement of this labor dispute and protect the interests of all Canadians.”
I guess he doesn't consider postal workers Canadians.
The postal shutdown was costing small businesses millions each day, the Canadian Federation of Independent Business said, and impacting Canadians across the country.
Won't somebody think of the small business owners!? 😱
While that unfolds, we look forward to welcoming our employees back to work and serving Canadians and customers. We will take all appropriate steps to support that process as quickly as possible given the direction provided to us by the Minister
He said with a sinister look in his eyes and a crooked smile.
As the minister of labour, I have a responsibility to protect Canadians and the public’s interests while respecting the rights of the parties involved in this. That’s why I’m here to announce that I’m bringing forward a solution to promote conditions conducive to resolving this labour dispute and protect the interests of all Canadians
Canada Post is a crown corporation and this loser is a part of the government of Canada. Force them to accept the terms the workers are requesting.
The chair of Canada Post warned in August that the Crown corporation is at a “critical juncture” and its financial situation is “unsustainable.”
Neoliberal brainworms. Public services don't have to be profitable. A Luigie Mangione for each mainstream media executive who had a part in convincing the public of this nonsense, in Minecraft of course.
I hope CUPW refuses to go back to work even if ordered to do so. And if that happens, I hope other unions step in to support them. Time and time again, the government has just ordered workers back. Someone is going to need to take a stand or this will only get worse. We need more labour militancy!
