Her hatred of the poor has been evident ever since she told people to cancel their Disney+ subscriptions to afford to live.

While stepping back from cabinet, Freeland told Trudeau she would stay on as Liberal MP and plans to run again under the party banner in the next federal election.

So we’re still stuck with her. Cool.

Also it seems that other Liberals are pissed at Trudeau. I wonder if they’ll rally behind her. Either way we already knew the government was fucked going into 2025, I don’t see how this decision changes anything.

It looks like there's a full on game of thrones going on behind the scenes in the party. I agree that this changes little, and it's highly likely that cons will win the election whenever that happens. Libs swapping Trudeau out for Freeland is a very likely maneuver, and then they're going to say that they lost because Canadians hate women.

It’s a little funny that this will be the second time in 30ish years that one of the two major parties appoints a female PM right before a bloodbath election lol. Maybe Freeland will have a moment like when the PCs ran that ad targeting Chretien’s Bell’s palsy, but for Poilievre looking like Millhouse

I expect libs will crash exactly as dems did, the polling data for them is brutal right now https://abacusdata.ca/canadian-politics-abacus-data-november-2024/

Well Trudeau is allowed to kick her out of the caucus. But probably a bad idea as the party is facing a tough election, and I’m pretty sure Canadians tend the reelect incumbents who were tossed from their party.
