I'm thinking they'll be more like the Puch or Adler of WWIII. Maybe the Kodak or Opel. They're not gonna come out of this being a dominant brand, they lack the affordability and scalability needed to be a major part of the post-war rebuilding, but also lack the ability to make a viable military vehicle. Troubled Wunderwaffen at best.

I can imagine a Tesla MRAP or Jeep that's constantly used for propaganda, but never actually sees service because it doesn't work. After the war, I see the brand being bought up by another manufacturer or just fading into irrelevance. Supercharger network gets bought out and rebranded, and a handful of cars remain on the streets with the internet-dependent features disabled, sticking around in the used market.

it would be really funny if a bad software update just bricked the entire Tesla product line

this motherfucker's ego trip knows absolutely no limits and it's representative of the outsized and frankly unacceptable transnational power that the ultra rich have in our world

the fact that he's so outspoken in such a lowbrow way is actually pretty informative in a way... it displays the very nature of our so-called democracies in a way that's extremely overt

Calling him a car manufacturer feels wrong. It’d be one thing if he made actual cars (fuck cars of course) but he makes glorified alienwares
