I find myself embarrassed at best and sickened at worst by politicians doing "normal" stuff as photo opportunities, it all feels so artificial.
The only exception to this would be if a politician sat on a hot couch for hours, taking rips from a gross, heavily resinated bong, repeatedly attempting the Modern Warfare 2 Spec Ops missions on Veteran because the host wants the achievements.
You wonder if they even try to convince themselves that it is organic or just go full "yeah idc the people are idiots... Oh hey look at me, I'm just like y'all!"

Yeah, I can't imagine many (or any?) of them genuinely think they're extending an olive branch to regular people or anything
My favorite is when they completely fail at doing a very simple "normal" thing, like walking through a turnstile, standing in a line, or eating food
Oh god yeah, the number of "British politicians literally not knowing how to drink a pint" pictures there are out there is ridiculous
