being goth is a protest against a world that would rather swan-dive into fascism than apparently do anything else on this beautiful planet we are destroying

but this lib is not a goth

I wouldn't say so, it's a sub culture based around music that grew out of Punk. People in that scene aren't any better on the subject of fascism to be honest, Siouxsie Sioux wore swastika armbands and Rozz Williams owned a suspect amount of Nazi memorabilia. Not claiming that represents the music and the target audience in it's entirety but I don't think we should ignore the fact that it's no more immune to bigotry than any other predominantly white and western space.

People cut that shit out in the mid 80s at the latest. Punk is generally alright in the anti fascism area, the exceptions are few and far between and hated by everyone else. Goth and Industrial have had a LOT of cross pollination and id say generally to the detriment of both genres and Industrial music is near black metal levels of needing to research artist's politics.

1758, but the reservation system as we know it wouldn’t start until the 1850 while Andersonville was built in 1860. Early reservations weren’t really built because they were just plots of land that the natives “agreed” to through unequal treaties that were signed through nefarious ways.

Ummm actually sweaty, every single US president before Drumf was a paragon of human virtue? He literally invented the concept of concentration camps? maybe-later-kiddo

Well, you wonder why I always dress in black
Why you never see bright colors on my back
And why does my appearance seem to have a somber tone
Well, there's a reason for the things that I have on

I wear the black because there's a dang cheeto in the white house (x32)

It was a normal day for me on the 4th of july. I woke up in the morning, wore some pants, and started my day. But then I remembered! I want to boycott the US. And so it began, and now I started wearing underwear every day until they US falls as a Protest!

Makes me think of how one month into the first Obama administration, they let everyone off for the 2008 financial crash and Obama was like "they didn't break any laws. There's nothing I can do" then spent eight years not pushing for laws

How about instead of mocking libs whose heart is in the right place we send them links to the PSL website instead

Because I doubt this person's heart is in the right place. They aren't actually opposing this, or asking how they can oppose this, they are loudly declaring "LOOK AT ME! I'M DOING A THING TO SHOW HOW MUCH I DON'T LIKE THIS!" They aren't inconveniencing anyone, they aren't informing anyone, they aren't trying to accomplish anything other than jerking themselves off over how much they care.
