Why are Dems so eager to get trump off the ballot? We already know biden can beat him, plus he's polarizing enough to pump up voter turnout against him, which helps down ballot candidates as well. Even in a worst case scenario where the R wins, do people really think desantis would be better than trump? I mean, at least trump's incompetence and narcissism will sabotage his worst efforts.

Isn't this a moot point seeing as Americans don't vote directly for a president, they vote for electors who then cast their own vote? Do presidents names even appear on ballot papers in America?
