I am honestly surprised it took this long, I had just assumed he was already disappeared after they banned the communist party from existing.
and prevented any teaching about the positive aspects of Soviet history in schools.
Yet when I was a kid I was still being taught how positive slavery was in the US, and how people were actually better off as slaves than free. (That school thankfully is now a parking lot, which is all it deserves). Very happy to have left that country when I was young.
Yet another example why western style "democracy" is actually just fascism with extra steps.
From having up to 25% of the vote in some oblasts and 115.000 members to being banned, having their symbols forbidden and their leaders arrested, in the span of just 3 years. What happened to the KPU was a tragedy.
Watch every "free speech" advocate, online and offline both, be either completely mute on this, or wholeheartedly support it for a variety of bullshit reasons. I can already predict some: "He was a Russian asset", "commies are ebil muh horodomoru", "they are being invaded and need security", "oh yeah well putin personally murders dissidents with a machine gun".
Poor guy. He's likely screwed
Amazing how free speech advocates will defend nazis all day, but won't say a single word to defend communists. Very telling.
But we gotta support Ukraine because it is on the frontline of the
fascistfree world!1!1!1! /sDidn't the previous communist leader disappear too? I remember reading a few years ago that he was found missing. Probably dead.
