    I can get anywhere I need to go without a car

    She must not need to get many places, then. Public transit in this city is abysmal! Just because it's much worse somewhere else doesn't mean it's good.

    My apartment in Minnesota costs $700 a month

    I'm afraid to even think about where in Minneapolis this magical $700/month apartment is located!
