They even drew little ass cheeks for the kodama. Fucking iconic.

I like that Miyazaki's son had a go at using studio ghibli to make a movie and then made a movie about a dude that killed his dad and was scared all the time and all Miyazaki had to say was "my son has not become an adult yet."

Studio Ghibli is on a whole other level it is really astonishing to me, I'm really not much of an anime watcher otherwise, but I think I've seen almost every Ghibli movie at least once.
Every one of their movies are like pure magic.

The one I liked most must be "Spirited Away", like every little detail is just perfect.
Although I'd say the most impactful to me was "Grave of the Fireflies" which follows siblings trying to somehow survive during WW2 in Japan.

For something less serious and more fun you can IMO never go wrong with "My Neighbour Totoro" or "Howls Moving Castle".

The Cat Returns really surprised me with how entertaining it was compared to what I expected of the subject material.

I think that is actually one I haven't seen yet, at least I can't remember it from looking at the trailer.
Something good to watch today or tomorrow in the evening then, nice. Thanks for the tip!

Spirited Away or Witch Delivery Service are my favourite, but it is hard to choose because they are all beautiful.
